The Ohio River Scenic Byway showcases the very best of Southern Illinois— Its monumental history, natural and scenic splendor, heartland farming, and warm and welcoming people—all within the realm of one of the Nation’s greatest Rivers. A unique travel experience awaits you along the byway’s 188 miles.
It’s all here: an unrivaled rural landscape, charming communities, historic sites, outdoor activities and adventures, local festivals, unique antique and artisan shops, local cuisine and wines, soul-soothing lodging and of course, unique activities on and along the magnificent Ohio River.

Look for the Ohio River Scenic Byway logo to mark your way along the byway.Be aware of farm vehicles or commercial trucks using the roadways.
