Date: 2nd weekend in October

This annual festival celebrates fluorspar, the state Mineral of Illinois, and the fluorspar mining Industry. Held in Rosiclare, the “Fluorspar Capital of the World”, events include a Miss Fluorspar Pageant and parade, carnival, food and craft vendors, barbecue, local musical talent, an open house at the American Fluorite Museum and more.
